How to Enter

The competition opened for entries on 14th January 2022. The closing date for entries is Thursday 10th February 2022 at 5pm. No entries received after the closing date will be accepted.
The draw will be made on Friday 11th February 2022 and winners will be notified within 72 hours.

If you are one of our lucky winners but there isn't any convenient availability for the B&B you selected in your prize draw entry, you are welcome to choose another B&B when you make your booking.

Terms and Conditions

1. The Promoter

The prize draw promoter is Scotland's Best B&Bs, c/o Newton Farm Holidays, Newton of Fothringham Farm, Inverarity, Angus DD8 2JU.

2. The Prize Draw

2.1. Entry into the prize draw via our website is completed by providing your contact details to sign up to the Scotland's Best B&Bs newsletter mailing list.

2.3. The winner of the Main Prize will win a 3-night stay, on a Bed & Breakfast basis, for 2 people sharing a room, at a B&B of their choice chosen from the Scotland's Best B&Bs website (subject to availability), as well as 12 months membership of the National Trust for Scotland for 2 adults.

The National Trust for Scotland membership will be awarded to one (1) winner. The winner will be able to choose one (1) person to accompany them on the membership. The membership is non transferable or exchangeable and has no cash value. No alternative will be offered. National Trust for Scotland standard membership terms and conditions apply.

2.3.1. Fifteen people will each win a voucher for £50.00 to be redeemed against the cost of a booking for 3 or more nights at one of Scotland's Best B&Bs.

2.3.2. All reservations by the winners of the vouchers and the Main Prize must be made with individual B&Bs listed on the Scotland's Best B&Bs website before 20 March 2022 and stays must be taken before 30 November 2022.

2.4. The prizes are as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.

3. How to Enter

3.1. Entry into the prize draw will run from 5pm on Friday 14th January 2022 to 5pm on Thursday 10th February 2022 (the 'Closing Date').

3.2. All prize draw entries must be received by Scotland's Best B&Bs by no later than 4.59pm on the Closing Date. All prize draw entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.

3.3. To enter the prize draw, entrants must fill out the form and provide your contact details.

3.4. There is no entry fee for entering the prize draw.

3.5. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, deleted or corrupted, or due to computer error in transit.

3.6. Entries made online using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void.

3.7. By submitting a prize draw entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

4. Eligibility

4.1. Entry is open to all UK residents except residents of Northern Ireland.

4.2. Employees and members (and their immediate families) of Scotland's Best B&Bs are not eligible to enter.

4.3. Employees of the National Trust for Scotland, their families, agents, or anyone else professionally associated with the draw are not eligible to enter.

4.4. Entrants must be aged 18 or over.

4.5. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Scotland's Best B&Bs may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the prize draw.

4.6. There is a limit of one entry per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.

5. Winners

5.1. The decision of Scotland's Best B&Bs is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

5.2. The winner of the Main Prize and the winners of the Vouchers will be drawn on Friday 11th February 2022.

The winner of the Main Prize will be the first entry drawn at random from all entries received after the prize draw closes. The 15 winners of the vouchers will also be drawn at random out of all the remaining entries received after the prize draw closes.

5.3. All winners will be notified by email by Scotland's Best B&Bs within 72 hours of the Closing Date.

Failure to respond within 14 days of having been notified of winning a prize will result in forfeiture of the prize. All reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winners using the email addresses they provided on entry to the prize draw.

5.4. If any winners cannot be contacted or do not claim their prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the relevant prize from such winners and pick a replacement winner from the remainder of the entries received.

5.5. The winners agree to their name and photograph being used by Scotland's Best B&Bs for publicity purposes.

5.6. Scotland's Best B&Bs must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this legal obligation, Scotland's Best B&Bs will make available the winners' surnames and county of residence if requested by emailing scotlandsbestbandbs@gmail.com. If you object to your name being published or made available, please contact Scotland's Best B&Bs at scotlandsbestbandbs@gmail.com. In such circumstances, Scotland's Best B&Bs must still provide the information and winning entry to the UK Advertising Standards Authority on request.

6. Prizes

6.1. Scotland's Best B&Bs will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winners as outlined above.

6.2. All reservations using the vouchers and Main Prize must be made with individual B&Bs which are listed the Scotland's Best B&Bs website before 20 March 2022 and stays must be taken before 30 November 2022.

6.3. Scotland's Best B&Bs does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up your Prize.

6.4. The Main Prize is supplied by Scotland's Best B&Bs and the National Trust for Scotland. The voucher prizes are supplied by Scotland's Best B&Bs.

6.5. The Prizes are not negotiable or transferable and there is no cash alternative available.

6.6. Scotland's Best B&Bs does not accept any responsibility for inaccurate prize details being supplied by any third parties.

7. Limitation of Liability and Force Majeure

7.1. Insofar as is permitted by law, Scotland's Best B&Bs will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize.

7.2. Scotland's Best B&Bs shall not be in breach of these terms and conditions nor liable for delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of its obligations under these terms and conditions if such delay or failure results from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation, acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake (or other natural disaster), epidemic or pandemic, fire, strike or any law or action taken by a government of public authority.

8. Data Protection

Scotland's Best B&Bs will only process your personal information as set out in our privacy notice. The names of the winners of the vouchers and the Main Prize may be shared with the owners of the B&Bs who are members of Scotland's Best B&Bs at the time the prize draw is made.

9. General

9.1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Scotland's Best B&Bs may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the prize draw.

9.2. Scotland's Best B&Bs reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.

9.3. The prize draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or any other social network.

9.4. These terms and conditions shall be governed by Scots law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
