covenants and company vehicles

I’ve just moved house and I’m a bit paranoid about the covenants regarding company vehicles. I was told by the agent not to worry as they are over 30 years old. But is there anyway these can be enforced. It’s parked in my own personal parking space just round the corner of the property . It stated “ Not to park any caravan home on wheels boat trailer or commercial vehicle unless screened from view to the satisfaction of the Company’s Architect and behind the building line of the dwelling”. I have also seen other company vehicles but they are parked on drives ect. Any views on this?

Is there any way it could be enforced? Well, maybe, but who's going to be so irked by your vehicle that they go to the trouble and expense of enforcing it? Worry about it if and when it happens.
Is there any relevant difference between driveways and your personal parking space? Usually these things are only so the original developers can have the place looking "nice" while they're still selling.2 -
Agree with user1977.Also, are the roads adopted? I have something similar in my deeds, however, we have some parking space at the end of the cul-de-sac and there's nothing that can legally be done about parking your commercial vehicle there as the road is adopted by the local council. If anyone complains, park it on the road. They'll soon get over it.1

Can the Company's Architect see the van?jdot1969 said:“ Not to park any caravan home on wheels boat trailer or commercial vehicle unless screened from view to the satisfaction of the Company’s Architect and behind the building line of the dwelling”.2 -
Well it’s parked in a bay so it’s in view but so are the other vans on the driveways0

People won't care if it is parked in your own drive or parking spot and isn't in anyone elses way. I almost complained to see if our covenant could be enforced to prevent a huge company van parking in our communal parking (when in the bays it took up one and a half) which was a first come first served arrangement, due to how it was parked with no consideration to any other vehicles.
In the end we just moved somewhere with our own drive.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0 -
barrats have this, they dont give a damDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Covenants should be renamed "challenges" as from every post we ever see about them on here, it seems some resident has gone and purchased a caravan/winnebago/tail-lift Luton just to contravene them.
I don't ever recall someone enforcing one on a vehicle even in a newish build let alone one from 30 years ago where nobody would be able to name the Company Architect.1 -
It may be in view, but is it in view of the Company Architect?jdot1969 said:Well it’s parked in a bay so it’s in view but so are the other vans on the driveways0 -
loads of commercial vehicles where I live but many of them are not from people who live on the estate but reckon the convenient unadopted roads make a great car park - there is a covenant but of course only could apply to the people who live there0

My current cul-de-sac has a HOA and a covenant around company vehicles. Two houses have one out regularly and it's been happening for three years. It's possible for something to happen if someone complains and the HOA agrees to do something in their meeting.0
