I had a cat years ago who was 14-16 (can’t remember exact age) who was eating like a pig and losing weight. The vet did some tests and said she had thyroid problems. The choice was pills for life or a partial thyroidectomy. I wisely chose the latter. She sailed through the op and was like a new cat.Cats are pretty amazing. This cat had had most of her tail removed a few years earlier and recovered pretty well. As I said, cats are pretty amazing.0
