Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, air is cold and frosty.
DH and DS1 up and getting ready for work, I'm showered and dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast pork, some LO's so enough for tomorrow night's dinner - hairdresser is coming so the meat can braise in gravy in the oven until we're ready to eat, there's yorkshires too, I'll serve some pots and peas with it. Tonight we'll be having fish.
Back to work today - can't say I'm particularly looking forward to it - I'll see what's going on.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. Hope work is not too bad today.I 've just been reading back on yesterday's thread, I didn't post. Everyone sounds busy, Bella, are you feeling a new kitchen coming on? it sounds like it!Camelot, your knitting being legendary for the wrong reasons gave me a laugh. We had a better day yesterday, we are both back to normal apart from a cough. I would say that Saturday was my worst day, even then i didn't feel ill, just lethargic. The CPR test showed we did indeed have Covid. This is DH's 6th day so he can test, I can't test till Wednesday or Thursday.Thinking of our poorly people, and those like NRA with relatives who are ill.Take care folks.13

Morning All
Glad you're feeling better Scarlett.
Your menus sound really good Nelski.
Dry again this morning, yesterday was a glorious day, felt very spring like. Our dip in the loch was indeed chilly but it was lovely to be in the water as the sun rose above the hills.
Washing was all dried outside and spent a happy hour outside tidying up the garden. There are bulbs poking their heads through, a sign that spring isn't too far away. Today is forecast to be sunny again but I'll leave the washing on the pulley just in case!
Thinking of the poorlies and the missing, would be good to hear from taff and Florence too. Hugs to you NRA.
Take care. XX10 -
Morning folks.Good to hear you're feeling better Scarlet though I hope you're still taking things easy. The drive up to Oban yesterday was so enjoyable, the morning sun was still shining and the air was windless so all the bodies of water looked spectacular. Picking up my new slippers took five minutes, I resisted the lure of any unnecessary shopping. 😀 On the way back I visited friends who live almost on the edge of a huge tidal loch so we sat drinking coffee, chatting and watching the tide come in, to make it all the more lovely two horses and riders came down into the loch for a gallop. 😍
After that I returned to sloth mode. New slippers kept my feet warm, one is a little tight but it'll stretch with wear. All I had to do was reheat some lunch and cook some veggies.Today I have a couple of admin type things and phone calls to sort out, nothing too taxing. My bedroom TV seems to be in the blink so I need to investigate that too. There's always something!
I hope that our missing and poorlies are coping. Happy Monday to all.12 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC for starting us off. I hope work isn't too taxing/ Another decent forecast with some sun around but it doesn't feel to be getting any warmer.
This morning I have to go for a blood test. I wonder what else they will find I need medication for. I'll need a king size dosset box soon. Needless to say it's not at the surgery, that would make it too easy.
I shall be straight back afterwards and I suppose I had better tackle a few jobs left over from the w/e. Such excitement.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. Thinking of NRA. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning everyone. Thanks for the start nmlc – hope work isn’t too bad today.
I did the food shop yesterday at A!di and then cooked roast lamb for us two, DD and bf and DS1 and gf. All enjoyed and some veggies left for B&S plus some meat for DH’s sandwiches today. I made N!gella’s panettone pudding but there’s a lot left, so might have to freeze it as doubt we’ll get through it this week. We have DS1’s fur baby until Thursday. Normally have him a couple of days a week but didn’t have him at all last week, and we missed him!
Heard from a friend last night who we haven’t seen in about 4 years. I need to reply to her today. Her husband was our best man and it’s our silver this year, so time for a meet up. They only live 3 miles away but time just goes so quickly!
Dinner tonight is chicken supreme. Ironing to do after work, plus will start watching After L!fe on Nflix.
Wishing everyone a good day, hugs to all those feeling poorly and/or dealing with troubles.

Morning all BRRR cold this morning walking the dog still it means i dont slip over in the mud on the field as its all frozen .
Not sure what i am up to today i need to get DS some new shirts and my nails done I might go tomorrow and do some cleaning today ,The more I think about the kitchen I am not sure although i would love one i don't want to spend the money as i will need to re tile the floor and walls and like the carcasses there is nothing wrong with them and they are nice and neutral. Yesterday was spent thinking about the garden there wasn't even words between DH and I . I managed to book another holiday for 2023 my travel agent had a deal that i couldn't turn down so we are now fully booked for this and next year next holiday is in March booked 2 years ago just before the pandemic the price we paid has nearly tripled so glad i have the opportunity to go at a price that was very reasonable.
Right better get on have a good day whatever you are up to . Hugs to all our poorlies ,missing and those who have worries .

Morning everyone
I don't start work till lunchtime today - have some admin jobs to do and need to hoover. Then have a pile of little one's clothes to sort. DD has sorted everything that is too small so they need bagged up to put on facebook sales - she usually puts them on cheaply for a big bag full so someone will get a bargain. Then there's a bag of too-big stuff to go away - mostly Christmas presents.. We sorted the boxes of next size up and DD took them away to wear - she's gone up a size - although she's now 3 she now fits 18-24 months. Two of the mums at work give me their daughters' outgrown clothes for her so I have about 6 plastic boxes full in the wardrobe in the spare room. It saves DD a fortune.
My mam bought me my first daffodils of the year - little one stood very still holding them very tightly- she said she was 'squeezing the yellow flowers out!'
Right, I'm going to make sure I have some money left in the bank. Hope everyone has a good day x

Hi everyone,
I have my Christmas laptop back, not without further problems with Curry's. Steve had somehow received tracking feedback from DPD which showed the laptop being delivered back to the store last week but we then didn't hear from them so we decided to go across. The assistant knew who we were without giving our name and tried to fob us off but we asked her to check the computer when she discovered that it was indeed in store, cue the hunt for it. After about 20 minutes they eventually found it but if we hadn't gone in they would never have let us know it was back. There was no paperwork either so they couldn't tell us if the fault had been found and repaired or if the batter had been replaced, very unsatisfactory. However, the screen problems seem to have been resolved, I'm just testing the battery now, hopefully it will last longer than the 2 hours it was lasting (I don't watch videos or download huge files on it so it should last a reasonable time).
Sorry for the saga I just feel so cross with the poor service we have received.
L and E are coming up for the next couple of nights, she's panicking about her forthcoming exam so she'll be able to have more dedicated study time here than she'd manage at home. I need to put away my sewing things for the duration, I won't have time to do any and they hold a fatal fascination for Esben.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning all.
Thanks for the thread nmlc and hugs to all those in need.
Very heavy frost here this morning, I've put the heating on for an hour and lit the stove.
I shall take Beano out soon, when he wakes up, he's snuggled up in bed with Steve still.
We had roast beef yesterday and there is enough for sandwiches for Steve's lunch for a couple of days, I shall have tuna or cheese. I can't remember what were having tonight, I need to check in the freezer. Were going for a pump out today and we'll need to buy some coal.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.11
