Sportsdirect credit note - Can they be extended
Nesty

Hi
I just found some credit notes from Sports direct for a purchase a while ago, but they going to expire in a couple of months time, nothing I actually need from them at the moment.
Can they be time extended by SD?
Thanks

They could be, but Sports Direct almost certainly won't. They aren't know for customer service.2

You might not need something now but a pair of trainers (or whatever) sitting in a box until your old ones wear out isn't going to take up much space.
As above they won't extend because they are a nasty company to deal with.
The other alternative is to find someone sho needs something from them and sell the credit note for a small reduction.0 -
I'm wouldn't defend Sports Direct but I don't like this comment, no there maybe not the greatest to deal with but there returns policy is way over and above what is required by law.bris said:

Possibly the credit note was for a change off mind return and if so legally they didn't have to except a return or exchange or do anything at all legally
We don't know that answer
Could the OP use the credit note and get something and then return the item and get a new credit note

How many customers do you think they would get if they didn't have the most basic of returns feature? The fact they give credit notes and not refunds is a disgrace in itself so I don't take back my comment.
Credit note or exchange and you think thats way over whats required from a multi bilon pound company?

Yes I've read the posts as well about there customer service and no it's not great and agree with a lot off people's issues, yes it would be nice if they'd a even better returns policy but at this point they don'tDozens ans dozens of threads on here over the years say otherwise.

Unfortunately consumer's today have now got the idea in there heads that a change off mind entitles them to a refund when buying instore0 -
I'm baffled..
Why is OP asking on a forum rather than phoning SD?
That aside, could buy something, return it and see what date is written on the newly issued credit note?0 -
It's unlikely that shop staff would be able to override company policy even if they wanted to. I found a number of old gift cards, not for Sportsdirect, and took them into the retailer. The reaction was a simple statement that they had expired and couldn't be used. Does that make them a nasty company to deal with?

I’d just buy some new trainers and keep them for when needed.I’m a Sports Direct customer for price only - they’re not great to deal with but they get the job done.0
