Mag Dailies - List and FAQs

Trusted Reviews and Recombu sites not working for me the normal links go to a Wordpress login page and tells me I am not registered. Anybody else? Will try and contact them later.

just sent the following to the Magazine support team - will see if anything gets better

"Trying to enter comps since Tuesday and Login takes a long time and frequently returns a Gateway Timeout error. When I manage to login and enter a competition the sites frequently log me out when trying to enter another comp prompting the same problems again. This is happening on all the magazine sites. Is there a Server problem - I am not the only one reporting problems with the Magazine sites there are frustrated forum posts on different sites complaining about the same issues. The consequences are that people will stop entering the comps and your advertisers will not get the clicks and visibility they expect."

I also contacted them yesterday hopefully they will fix it soon. There is a post on compers chat if you want to have a read and comment on there too.

     Are there some of these Mag Daily prizes that are never awarded I wonder?

I frequently click on the 'Winners' tab on the Mag Daily pages to look at the winners lists for comps I've entered.

Usually the list will appear within a day of two of the closing date.

 However some winners lists never seem to appear!

Take for example the recent Blackpool short break that featured in, I think, six mags, Woman. Woman's Own, Woman's Weekly, Celebs Now, Life Death and What's On. I believe it closed around a week ago and no winners lists have appeared as yet.

Does that mean the prizes weren't awarded?

Or does it just mean that they chose not to publish the list for whatever reason?

The only one I can find is this one that ended just over a month ago and definitely no winner announced. I've never known them not announce winners so not sure what has happened. It could possibly be someone has missed the winning email so they are giving time before drawing a new winner. Definitely worth keeping an eye on.

I have won 4 times with mags daily over the last 18 months

Problem with error code 500 when pressing 'competitions' on all the sites in my list...really awkward.
Can only get the site to work if i log out and back in after every competition entry.

Well that 'Blackpool Holiday Inn' eventually took around two months to appear in a winner's list.

Meanwhile here is another one that's getting a bit overdue for a winner's list - a  'Luxury stay in Norwich'.

This one closed almost two weeks ago and no winner's list showing as yet.

With most Mag Daily prizes the winner's list appears the day after the comp closes and the email notification is sent to the winners at the same time.   I don't see why it should be any different for prizes involving hotels ??
