Just to add, the Probate office do keep the will, it is then available for public records. I emailed them a while ago. I did get a Certified copy of the will, lots of people will do it, just in case! Actually did not need the copy, but felt safer having it.0

Mine was lost (well my mams will...) the thread is on here with what happened. Basically Probate sorted it with the solicitors who wrote the Will.Froglet said:Thankfully,having just sent my Mums will,tracked,to the Probate office I was able to see that it was received and signed for the next day.But it set me wondering what would happen if it got lost on the way.Would they accept a certified copy if you could prove you sent it but Royal Mail had lost it? Or you didn't pay for the tracking and it got lost .Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....1
