         Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, foggy and cold start to the day.
DH watching catchup tv. I'm showered and dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge. DS1 still in hit pit. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner was chicken and ham kievs, hot buttered new potatoes and beans for the menfolk. I had mushroom, cheese and a little LO gammon in an omelette with salad. Tonight we'll be having chicken and mushrooms in sauce, stir fry veg and veg rice.
Yesterday was a pottering sort of day, I'm generally happy with what I got done in this last week, but back to work Monday after going in this morning as I couldn't get it covered.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. I hope this morning goes over quickly.Well, it seems that Dh's cold is actually Covid, and I've tested positive as well. We are ok, I just feel as if I've got a slight cold, and Dh's "cold" is not as bad. We are going for PCR tests this morning, and are isolating of course.Ds called last night (he stood at the gate) when I texted to tell him he asked if we needed anything, I said just some eggs, but Dd could get them, I wasn't desperate.Anyway he turned up with the eggs and a bottle of wine! (get the priorities right) he's a good lad.We can't go to dgd's birthday party of course, but it can't be helped. While we are isolating I think I'll sort a few cupboards out and make some cards. After nearly 2 years of Covid and being careful. we've caught it.We have no idea where from, Dh was at a funeral last Friday but wore a mask all the time.Hope everyone else is all right, thinking of our poorly people and those with relatives who aren't well,Take care folks14

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. We are back to the minus numbers this morning after a few milder starts. We were shrouded in thick fog last night but it's now miraculously disappeared and I could see every star in the sky earlier.
It will be my usual little Saturday morning trip into town as I can use my pass on the first bus down. I don't really need anything it's just to get out for a while and have a natter with the other 2 regulars who catch it. They might have some riveting gossip to tell me - although I doubt it!! Nothing much is happening up here. It's a talking point when the cows get moved from one field to another!
Some neglected jobs may get done when I come home - or they might not!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and the worried or woeful. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"14

Morning folks. Thanks for starting us off nmlc, it's a shame you have to work today. All the unwanted pots and pans are gone. The only thing that the chap up the hill didn't take was the small slow cooker so I'll drop that off at a CS. I enjoyed making the cake, the first in 10 months, the last time was a chocolate cake in March last year for DM's birthday. The only part I didn't much like was sifting icing sugar, somehow it manages to fly everywhere. 😀 I dropped off some of the cake and will take more away later today. This morning I'm going up to Oban for a wee shopping trip, the fridge is almost bare. So far I'm doing quite well in cutting back on food shopping and eating. This mind set could disappear as suddenly as it arrived so I need to take advantage of it. My new slippers are waiting to be collected from M&S, the ones I'm wearing have almost totally split apart. There's a small amount of woollies to put through the machine, the DW to empty, the stove to vacuum out and then I can settle down.Happy Saturday to all.13

Morning Seems to have gone colder here today but its still dark so hopefully warm up a bit later Foot lots better now so I’m able to get around now in my own sweet way I have a volunteer call this morning then the day is mine to whittle away or hopefully do some housey stuff. After all my good intentions, today will no doubt create more stuff for the freezer. Took out some mince and decided on a Fakeaway Doner for dinner as I can shove it in the slow cooker to do its stuff all day. I’ll have it with flatbreads, salad, chilli sauce and some cucumber and mint dip I’ll make up later So mission eat the fridge and the freezer is on or at the very least the contents. I have a rough meal plan for next week so my weekly shop should be just be the essentials like bread, salad and veg stuff we’ll see how that goes. My problem is always wanting to change it up so I spend an inordinate amount of time reading recipes. That wont stop I just need to fit them in to my stocks. Last night for example I found a recipe for sprout coleslaw!! As I have a large bag that may be an option to go with the flatbreads. Hope you all have a great day 13

            Morning All
Still dark out but seems dry and not too cold this morning. So far I have cleaned the bathrooms, put the DW on (should have gone on last night but it was too late, don't like it being on during the night), hung up the washing and fed the houseplants.
I walked down to the shops after work to pick up a parcel from Boots only to find they have temporary opening hours and closed at 4 so will have to go again today. Also need some fresh foods so will call at Aldi on the way back.
Once it's light I'll clean out the fire and mop the floors, the windows can be thrown open for a while to give the house a good airing.
What a shame you've tested positive Scarlett, take care of yourselves.
Fantastic decluttering Gers! Nice cake too, reminds me of my Aunt as coffee and walnut is her favourite too.
Glad your foot is getting better Nelski, be careful.
Someone mentioned Wordle, I do that too, love that it's only one puzzle per day or I would waste my days!
Hope you all have a good Saturday, take care. XX11

            Hi everyone,
It was me with the Wordle, Camelot. I don't post my result on SM as it tries to get you to do though.
Nelski, I'm glad your foot's feeling better.
Scarlet, I hope you and OH continue to feel not too bad.
We're going over to Chris and Crystal's today so that Steve can adapt a cupboard for them. It had a built in fridge freezer in it but they already had a big F/F when they moved in so when the built in one went wrong they didn't replace it. Steve's going to put drawers and shelves in it to make it more useful. They want to put their microwave in it and also the thing that boosts their internet signal (it's not really in keeping with the age of their house). I'll do an LFT before we go, just in case.
 Have a good day.

Morning, hugs if you need one. Sorry to hear you have covid Scarlet, personally I do not think that masks protect us as much as the powers that be think they do.
We had heavy fog yesterday, but by 10pm it had gone and we had frost which is lingering. The sun is out so hopefully it will disappear.
We are off to the farmers market shortly, I need to wait a bit until the frost has eased, we have a hill to get out of here, which is where I skidded 3 years ago and the village where the market is has an horriffic steep and bendy hill down into the village. I have no desire to repeat the skidding thank you. This is one occasion when I wish DB could still drive. He was trained on the police skid pan as he used to drive an ambulance for the St John Ambulance Brigade.
We were expecting the gas check yesterday, no one arrived so having struggled to get the shelves out of the boiler cupboard I then had to struggle to put them back. Storing towels and linen is a problem in the bungalow.
I have taken some cooked mince out will probably do shepherds pie for supper.

Morning everyone, thanks for the start nmlc and hope work isn’t too bad today. The cake looks delicious Gers mmmmm Scarlet – so sorry to hear you and your DH have covid – hope your symptoms aren’t too bad Glad that your ankle is improving Nels The minute taking yesterday was actually very interesting. I spent some time tidying the minutes and adding web links which meant I didn’t finish work until 6.30pm. The beauty of WFH meant we still ate at a reasonable time as DH started the curry. I have a haircut this morning – will walk there and back to get some steps in. DH and I are then going to the big mall for some new PJs – we are away with friends next weekend and our PJs are a bit tatty! We have vouchers from Christmas so no actual money being spent. We have a 50th birthday party to attend tonight – I will be driving. DW has been emptied. Need to wash DS2’s school uniform today. He is in the middle of his A level mocks so not as many shirts as usual as he only goes in when he has an exam. UCAS form to complete this weekend – aaaargh! Hope you all have a lovely day.
