Upvc locks are different sizes . If you have the key they are fairly simple ( without key no so ) . you tube will talk you through it . Take out measure each side to centre ( normal 45/55 or50/50 but can be 60/40 and others . Get a decent make and antisnap . fit back in . If you DM you can have my eurocell cash account number and get them for less , But theyr about 10 cheap or 25 quid each
I'd agree with GDB2222, TBH. Even "professional" general builders (as opposed to specialist bricklayers) can sometimes achieve pretty poor-looking brickwork.
I'd have a go for a little dwarf wall in a corner of the garden, but for facing brick in a visible location I'd want to get a pro in - and I'd want to see examples of their work ideally!
I'm not expecting people to care but I just wanted to boast. I fixed the wall. I did have to make it a row of bricks lower as quite a few of them were damaged by me trying to get the old cement off it. And some were in a poor state before. It looks good and straight and secure. I just need to point a few bits and then I think I might paint it white. Everyone's walls and fences are different so I'm not going against the grain. Plus the bricks are hideous with a horrible texture on them. Now to replace the rotten posts for the gate and to sand, prime and paint my Victorian wrought iron beauty of a gate.
