    Not really unfortunately, I'm quite rural.
    I could do it if I knew it would be accepted, but it's a bit out of the way just to try and see if they'll give a different answer.

    It isn't faulty so why mention this.
    I'm guessing they're saying I could remove/break a fuse and give it back as faulty, but I don't see why I should have to do anything wrong to just get my normal consumer rights.

    Can't you just go in again when someone else is working and just say you changed your mind? Don't tell them you've tried it.
    When I've returned stuff to Argos all they do is check you aren't returning an empty box.
