Received Debt Recovery Plus letter but not had a ticket, PCN or letters.

Hi,

I have had 2 letters from debt Recovery Plus, threatening court action to recover £170.

The letter does not state what this for but has the registration of my car and APCOA parking ltd as the creditor.

However, I have no idea what this for, the date etc.  I have not received a ticket. letters etc from APCOA parking ltd.

I assumed the first letter was a scam but this letter now states about court action.

After reading up, I see APCOA parking ltd should have either put a ticket on my car of the date of the alleged parking offence or sent me a letter with the ANPR as proof.

Yet again I have had nothing from APCOA parking ltd about this.

Please advise what i should do as i have no idea what this is for, when it may  have happened etc.

APCOA never sue anyone and the 4th post of NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST already covers ignoring debt collectors.

The reason you never got any letters (until these parasites traced you) is most likely to be due to you not updating your logbook address with the DVLA after a house move.

That needs addressing but this letter does NOT. Same advice as on every other exact same thread:

DRP cannot take you to court, they are simply living in LALA land ... POWERLESS, Always will be

You could send a SAR to APCOA to get the information, if you have the parking ticket number. This will reveal the info they have on you which they legally must provide.

But DRP .... DO NOT CONTACT THEM, there is nothing they can do, just money bandits and you don't owe £170, it's a money scam ... DO NOT PAY THEM, let them waste their money
