Ordered a pre flight " fit to fly test" and also a post 0-2 day return to UK from Simply test me.

Just received  both, one made and packeged by Flowflex and the other by Healgen.

However there is nothing at all to say which is the fit to fly and which is the 2 day return test, instruction leaflet for both are identical.

Since they are both different prices and marketed separately I would have thought there is a difference.

Any idea which is which? Tried to contact them but no phone number just an error page when i click contact on their site.

Are you sure they are different prices? I use Simplytestme and their tests are £12 irrespective of which test you order? You might pay more delivery charge if you want it tracked or whatever, but the prices including First Class postage are £12.

My mistake I did pay an extra £4.50 for the fit to fly due to Royal mail special delivery.

However they are still manuafatured by different companies and sold as if they are to suit different requirements.

When i did purchase the post 2 day return test it stated that it would be sent out 7 days prior to my return in 3 weeks, which would have stopped all this confusion.

But would have increased their costs.

They are sold as what they are to be used for rather than what they are... that isnt to say they are different things but makes it easy for people to know they've bought what they need on day 2 as what that is has changed over time.

Also remember that the day 2 test has to come with a code for the Passenger Location form whereas the fit to fly one doesnt. Similarly the fit to fly one will normally involve you sending photos of results or having a videochat whereas the day 2 doesnt necessarily. They therefore need to know what use you'll be putting them to even though they are both just lat flow tests.

The fact they are different brands is probably just a case of what was on the shelf when they went to fulfill the order

Neither have come with any code, if they had i could cross reference them with the codes i received via email when ordering.

Like you say they are sold as what they are used for,yet there is nothing to tell me which one is meant for which test.

The code comes when you order it, not with the devices themselves as in theory you could be overseas when you buy them and need the code there for your PLF but the device in the UK for doing after return.

I know, i said  i got the codes via email when i ordered them, but when the two came together they did not say which test flowflex or Healgen  correspondes with which code, thats the whole point of this thread.

As they are both Lateral Flow Tests does it really matter ?

If Simply Fly Me is like Chronomics (who I use) you will get a certificate on successful completion of the test after uploading your results.

This states you have had a negative result and displays all your details you have previously inputted (passport number etc).

Is the Fit to Fly just a misnomer ?
