I have around 11GB data on a MYSQL database online and am looking for a cheap alternative to store the data on a MYSQL database.
I am currently paying £60/month for a CPanel license as well as the storage costs with Interserver
Are there cheaper alternatives that someone can please recommend or alternatively are there any database related forums I could ask the questions, please?
Many thanks in advance

/datahoarders on Reddit will be a good start.Try Amazon RDS, you can get a MySQL with 12GB server for as little as $3 a month and pay based on utilisation.Depending on how much the database is used and the spec of server you specific, it could work out cheaper or more expensive than your current option. Go on their estimates page for more info.0

Very cheap (free) alternative is to install MySQL (or mariadb) on your computer at home and store the data there, unless there's a particular reason that you haven't stated why you need the data to be online.I have an online database in mysql (with php web frontend) which is running under a debian virtual private server and costs a good deal less than £60/month. No idea about cpanel, I administer it using ssh.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230
