Parking Eye PCN at Aldi for Using Adjacent Superbowl
Comments
-
You MUST also appeal that PCN stating that Aldi are cancelling it but you require confirmation, or a POPLA code. And that you have discovered that (explain what you know about the planning consent) and also believe that the delineation between the two car parks is insufficient and unclear. As such, and due to Aldi's Manager stating he will cancel the PCN, you expect to hear that the charge is revoked.sam_w said:Update: I went into Aldi and spoken to the store manager. I told him that I had parked in the Aldi car park thinking it was the same car park as the Superbowl (technically it is as it's all part of west linkway retail park, despite Superbowl telling me it was a different car park). The manager of Aldi said that it happens all the time and they are fed up of it. Anyway, he took a photocopy of the PCN and said it will be cancelled. He said it will take a few days to go through and may receive another PCN in the meantime. He said to ignore it and if they continue to harass me, come back into the store.
Hopefully, this can be of some help to anyone else who receives one of those ridiculous PCNs in the post. Thank you coupon-mad as it was reading the signature at the bottom of your replies that led me to do this.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Unfortunately I don't have the free time that you must have in order to invest in this. The initial advice was used to look into the planning which I shared to assist others. I didn't, and don't, have the capacity to raise to the necessary parties and see through to completion. I work mostly 6-7 days a week and have a family to support, something you should think of before posting guilt-trip comments to the people you're allegedly committing so much to helping.Umkomaas said:Disappointing that we didn't get any update from OP @JohnD2410115. That's the downside of giving up your own time to provide free advice and guidance to help random strangers with their problems! Eventually they'll cause some to question their commitment when being taken for granted!
I'm sure that the time and advice you give is very much appreciated by all that you help...if you're going to moan about it then don't do it. No one is here to give you a pat on the back Umkomaas.1 -
Wow! I'm not looking for any 'pats on the back', the 71,000+ 'thanks' I've already received on the forum are just fine by me.We still seem to be unaware of how your case proceeded with PE. Did it conclude?Unless we know the outcome of our advice, how do you think we know if it is (still) working or not. A couple of sentences would have probably sufficed. Possibly a little less time to do that than that taken to post the above. That's all - please help us to help others. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
