O/S Daily Wednesday 12th January 2022

Morning all, the sun is out but blimey it's freezing ! I wanted to get outside to cut a bit more of the hedge down that has been left by the builders, but I think I'll give that a miss till it's warmer, it's not urgent.
I rang the hospital yesterday and have a scan booked for Saturday lunchtime, then I wrote a long email to my newly found old school (best) friend. Took me ages to get 50 years condensed into 2 paragraphs but I'm sure we'll fill out some details in future emails.
This morning I'll fill the DW and press the go button and then bring in, when it's emptied, the cardboard recycling bag that was missed by the council yesterday. I have some steak and kidney to prepare and slow cook, then I'll make some pastry to make a pie ready for tomorrow. Dad will be coming over and we'll have the pie with chips, peas, carrots and gravy for lunch. This afternoon I need to check through our meds, I think the messy elf has got fed up with the freezers and has been into the meds for a change 😂 Sorry if my post seems a bit disjointed but my head is all over the place today.
TA what a dreadful day you had yesterday, hope you have a better one today.

Everyone seems to be busy today, hope those with appointments get the results they are hoping for and those who are going out stay safe and warm, especially the workers. Hugs to the poorly ones and their families and anyone having problems with daily life.

Morning everyone just made it I have been up since 7 and I have just sat down having a quick cuppa and a banana before I run out of the door for work thanks for everyone asking I was fine after I had my teeth out yesterday but this is a ongoing problem 4 years ago I had to have two teeth that had been capped removed and they were put on a palate in 4 weeks time I am having my last top tooth removed and a full top palate I have lost them all I have never had good teeth but I hate my palate but I have to live with it now I have to go for a check up in a fortnight and the week after they will be all done I am very envious of people with nice teeth and would never be seen without mine to late to do anything about it now . In other news my son rang just as I got up they have all tested positive all been double jabbed and booster nobody feels ill so that’s a bonus his partner works from home so that will continue but they are all stuck in for 7 days they have a large garden and a trampoline so the kids will get some fresh air talking of which I’ve just looked in the mirror and I look like a ghost I must get a couple of good walks in this weekend hopefully in a bit of sunshine roll on summer must run have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Afternoon all,, I popped into town on the bus this morning, just for  a mooch really. It was so quiet and heard of two stores that are shutting. If M/S went too I really wouldn't have any reason to go in

TA, the bank card saga happened to us just before xmas with DH card, only we'd just sat down to tea & like you I don't trust the Y or N really but did it , then they rang. How do you know it's the bank for sure? We ended up going into the branch the next morning, & someone had booked a holiday! Hope DGD is ok.

I'm going to make mince with Indian spices, topped with filo pastry for tea.

Will be getting DGD from school later.

Coxy, retirement was the best thing to happen to me.

TA, I'm sorry you had such a horrible day. Like so many Steve had a problem with his bank card last year. It's a real pain.

I had a very busy morning with Esben, he's been incredibly energetic but he's napping now. We made shortbread biscuits when they arrived, I gave him my small icing rolling pin and his own little piece of dough. I threw it away at the end though, he has a cold and was sneezing all over it! 

Poor Laura had a disturbed night with him, she's not getting a lot of sleep atm and is feeling quite down because of it, I remember the feeling.

We're having a posh fish pie tonight. We made it from the leftover turbot from my birthday, it also has prawns and smoked haddock in it, hopefully it will be delicious.

my mobility is very poor.  Glad that is done, hope it helps.

Busy at work as always, cant say it's much fun especially as I'm not on great terms with my boss. Still, tomorrow is another day

Tuna salad for dinner tonight as I cant be bothered cooking. Have got a bag of clothes I've 'decluttered' from my wardrobe, just waiting for the next charity bag to come through the door. Usually, I'm inundated with then but, of course, haven't seen one for a while now I have stuff to put in one

Anyhoo, off to have a quiet evening with the TV. Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow

Hi Chums just in case you've not seen my post, I'm back but had to use a different name for some unknown reason to rejoin  so hopefully we can all have a chinwag tomorrow at some point and I will hear all your news
