Well they changed a bit after the public outcry but you still risk your speaker being junk. It's what happens when you put your streaming electronics in the same box as your amplifier and speaker. You risk having to throw the whole lot away. Keep them separate.

Apologies for dragging this old thread back; the original question was answered anyway but I just stumbled on this and thought it worth a wider airing. It's interesting in that it looks at audiophiles in a more accepting light, and recognises that audio excellence can be a rewarding hobby. Note that it's a bit dated, being written in 2015, but it's fun.

The reality is that the only people worth sharing it with are other people with an interest in audio. To anyone esle it's a bit in danger of coming across as 'look at us, we are decent y'know'. Hopefully people reading this can see it in the correct light and enjoy it for what it is.
