Receiving Will and Grant downloads off Government website on paying £1.50 fee

Hi All

Can people advise as to this information..

My dad sadly passed on 13th September 2021.

I have applied and paid fee for downloads of his grant and will documents on 19th December 2021 and was told estimated arrival of documents into my inbox was 3rd January 2022.

Not received as yet.

Can this mean they are not available as yet ie probate not granted etc as yet or could it simpy be explained that it is taking time for the system to allow downloads of the documents..

If people can clarify this for me, be most grateful.

"Contacts should be completed 14/01 being the date monies are transferred and the property is then owned by the buyer.

Prior to this we have to obtain meter readings and advise all utilities/council etc to cancel and provide us with outstanding balances to be paid.

We also need to pay estate agent, conveyancer and solicitors fees. Once all fees and bills have been paid you will receive an email with breakdown of figures. 

Final forms have been posted to Investments today for the funds from savings to be transferred."

This is message I received from the executor ie family member, so am guessing this means probate has been granted.

Sorry I not sure Probate has gone through, as not really understand want the term "probate granted" exactly means.

So am assuming all the above happening means that probate grant and will in progress so it is simply a delay in the downloading of them and not that they are not there...

Just asking for clarification

Without the grant of probate. the executor/s cannot proceed with any sale or distribution of assets to beneficiaries. If the executor is unsure or needs help, then contacting the Probate office may help, but don't hold your breath on those dates.

I suspect this is an auto reply and that the system wouldn't know if probate has been granted or not.

If it is showing on the list the probate has been granted and it should be available to download.  I assume you have gone back to the site and checked your available wills. You don't get the documents sent to you, just a notification which could have been sent to spam. My account is showing the one I ordered last Friday and downloaded on Sunday - I did get an e-mail telling me it was available - and one I ordered a couple of years ago in my expired wills section.
