Predicting future prices is an inexact science. The market reflects what buyers are prepared to pay right now and might bear little resemblance to what the actual price turns out to be on the day. Remember the warning that there would be a shortage of turkeys at Christmas - if you'd waited till Christmas Eve you could have picked one up for 75% discount!1
