Oh no, poor you, what happened and where are you at with your case, did you get your money back? It's awful how they treat their customers. You buy something in good faith and expect to be treated with respect and at the very least have your consumer rights honoured. But they seem to make up their own rules to suit them and to hell with the law. I have pointed out why I am legally entitled to a refund but they totally ignore what I say. Apparently lots of people have reported them to trading standards though so let's hope their tricks are exposed but it doesn't seem to have stopped many others falling victim to their scam. I'm still waiting to get my money refunded...

Well after a missing mail claim I spoke to Royal Mail who recommended I contact the Action Fraud team and the Police via their non-emergency line. Also got advised that the more people who report them to Trading standards the better as this tells them where best to direct their resources and you can do this via the citizens advice service. @ clarespears if you've experienced similar then I expect the same advice goes for you and for everyone else on Trust Pilot and similar review sites who beat the same drum about how they've been taken for a ride by this outfit.

What has it got do with Royal Mail? Why would they have any knowledge of how to deal with your problem?

I doubt police or action fraud will be interested.

Well I suppose RM will have to pay compensation. But as you say agencies don't seem that interested which is why this company has been getting away with their trading practices for so long, but it all adds to build a picture, so if anyone is interested in finding out more about what's been going on, go ahead and read the reviews although some reviewers say they use review-gaiting and other means like bribery to remove negative reviews, but regardless there are some really upset and distressed people out there and it's no wonder, they've not been treated well and left seriously out of pocket.

Can someone explain the latest episode of this saga for me please?
12 Jan 2021 Yes I have returned the phone and they confirmed receipt of it on 7/1/22.

I feel I am missing something. Do all these refer to the same phone or are they unconnected?

Apologies for not being clear, I'd written:
"Even though they currently have the phone back, they keep on insisting they will send the phone back to me. I have been explicit in saying I don't want it and would not accept delivery".
So they did send a parcel, presumably the same phone but I didn't open the parcel so don't know as was advised to refuse delivery and return parcel as soon as I could which I did and our postie would vouch for me as they scanned it and put it back in the van, but they now say a Royal Mail claim has been opened for me. The advice I was given is that they were in breach of contract for sending me out a different phone to the one I had ordered in the beginning. So I said I wanted to return it and get my money back and fulfilled my responsibility to return the phone, and was waiting for the refund I was due within the following 14 days. But instead of refunding me they tried to send me out the phone again (presuming that's what was in the parcel).
