I've just returned after a lengthy break so have no idea what happened, but having lost close family in the last year can totally empathise. You'll be missed by myself and a lot of fellow MSErs.

I have been here a long time, under a different name, as I  had lots of issues and was finally locked out after about 1 month after all the changes. This sight helped me when I was caring for my dying husband, through the death of my sister and through many personal struggles.
I too don’t want to see it die, I am so sad to see so many leave. The last week’s events have really upset me. However due learning difficulties in the form of dyslexia and dyspraxia (despite having a degree) as well as suffering anxiety I cannot post comps as I would mess it up. I am a widow with small children so I comp odd hours and sometimes cant comp for days.  So, I feel helpless and feel that me staying makes very little difference. Many of the cream of the crop have gone and even more still talking about leaving. I will stay to the end but I fear it’s just not enough.

When I was looking many years ago for a comp site this one appeared to be the best but with soo many problems (still not sorted) since the new forum started I no longer use this site for entering any competitions and just use the forum for other bits

I am so saddened and sorry to hear of the loss of your wife, you have been such a big part of this forum over the years, and I am so deeply disappointed that there has been some sort of trouble that pushed you to leave, though I have no idea what that was. I will feel your loss for sure, as we all will, and I am so sad to hear that Blu has gone too. Two great contributors, now gone.

So sorry for your loss and so sorry for the MSE comping loss.  Thank you for all you have done over the years and I feel very angry that anybody should complain about competition postings when all is done in kindness and the spirit of selfless sharing.  You deserve much praise and thanks for all your efforts over the years and much love and support through your difficult time. A very sad farewell to you.
