Morning
Up early to get my monday stuff done. Quite a few new calls added to my quota today so need to get everything done by 10.
I'm a bit contrary to all on here as I enjoy winter and the short days. Yes the cold affects me now but I can always put more clothes on and manage it. I can sleep better at night and wrap myself in cozy duvets and food is scrummy comfort food like casseroles and roasts. In the summer when it gets really hot sleep goes out the window its too light, the pesky birds wake me up at 4 and I can never get cool enough to sleep. On the other hand pimms in the garden is nice but overall winter wins out for me.
Gers and DP1 well done on booking your trips good to have something to look forward to
Ruby fostering dogs is so lovely, I did it for a while for a local charity that took dogs in when a family has to escape the home after abuse and the refuge wouldn't take pets. I had some real characters like Scapper the black long haired Alsatian who was massive but so gentle and the white boxer who was a looney but so loving. The hard part was always giving them back when the family were settled somewhere. Hope your sis is able to keep the dog
Ive pulled out some peppered mackerel for dinner there's 3 pieces so Ill make some pate with 2 and then maybe a risotto with the other piece
Hope everyone enjoys their Monday10 -
Morning everybody. I thought I'd walk the dog & just tidy the kitchen first before I came on here.DH back to work today so I aim to banish some of the mess the men create
I woke early thinking DGD had left her homework in a bag in the car, we were meant to hand the bag over yesterday at her football match but couldn't park nearby and didn't want to chance it getting wet.DH got the bag out & it wasn't there, just a jumper and a light bulb for DS who said she def took it! The things you mither about when you're meant to be sleeping!Beef stir fry later. There is an A**i near where DGD played yesterday so we popped in & got some bread and other bits so I can manage without my weekly T delivery. It's just started drizzling so I'll be stopping in apart from picking DGS up from school this afternoon. I've got some admin for DH, & emails to answer, then I'll be doing family history.I hope you all have a good day. Best of luck with the unsympathetic boss RR!x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10 -
Hi everyone,
All the talk about Berlin is making me feel quite jealous, we went there for our 25th wedding anniversary (which just made me check with Steve because it's almost 20 years ago which I really can't believe). I'd love to go to Austria this year if possible, watching the Sound of Music over Christmas reminded me how much I love it there.
I need to get on because we have to do a tip run and go to Lidl for milk and bread etc. Steve has an eye appointment at lunchtime to follow up on his operation, it should have been 2 to 4 weeks after but is more like 2 months.
Ruby, good luck with your boss.
Have a good day.

Morning All
Take care NMLC - It's frustrating when you want to get things done but there's no point in setting yourself back.
Back to working from home today so plenty to do.
I've got some minestrone soup ready for my lunch and had porridge earlier. Not sure about this evening but I tend not to want too much in the evenings these days so will see what I fancy.
I have managed a few chores before work and am fairly up to date from the weekend so I should be able to relax after work.
I am still just thinking one day at a time after losing my DF. Lots of people are making plans for this year but, for me, it's difficult to think far ahead. I am just looking after myself and doing what I want when I want - I think it's the first time in my life that I've been able to be that selfish! lol
Have a lovely day all.

Thanks for starting the thread NMLCWeather was a balmy 12c today......it has been near to freezing since Christmas so we should be grateful for small mercies!
