Children under 16 in the car without stating it on the insurance
What is the legality of carrying kids about on your insurance if you say you have none but take say your sisters kid here and there and have even if you have no accident?
Surely if there not yours and only in the car a few times a year would you still be covered ?

Yes you’d be covered. The insurer don’t ask you to log each and every passenger you take in a journey so you’re fine.3

As far as I know you can whomever you like in your car whenever you like.1

Do car insurers ask whether you have kids? I don't recall that.2

You are insured to drive a vehicle - does not matter if it is kids of the two or four legged variety as long as they are suitably restrained.

They are asking if you have kids to try and assess risk, they aren't part of the policy.
So you can have anyone you want in the car without issue, unless they are paying you (which is hire and reward)2 -

Never been asked that. I'm assuming the logic is "Family Person with Children" is assumed to be more sensible than "Single and Childless". It's only one factor though.lemondrops69 said:
