Dropped joist perhaps and cracks in room opposite to it

It seems like something like a joist has dropped slightly in my kitchen, mm not cm causing a double indentation in the ceiling and in the living room beside the kitchen I've got some thin cracks appearing now which may or not be cosmetic. They are not massive either but would run close in line to the joist (if this is it) in the kitchen beside the living room. Anyone had similar issues and am I freaking out it is a joist sagging?

Look like typical poorly joined plasterboard to me.0

DM, how old is this house? How long have you lived there? When did the marks appear?Could the raised part (first photo) always have been there but you didn't notice it before?0

Hi, about 1950s it was built. Lived here since 2007 and only recently noticed it more dropped. I know people say especially being at home now more often notice things but the cracks in living room were not there. Thank you for your responses.0
