Starting point is that I am a technological numpty unless things are explained very simply.
I have a new laptop. My old one has an older version of Calibre that I need to be able to put kindle books on my nook e-reader.
I can’t work out how to find a safe version of the old calibre to download - apprentice alf’s explanation went right over my head.
Is there a simple way to get the Calibre version that I have from one laptop to another. New one I windows 10, I think the old one is windows 8.

OH btw have you still got the original download for alf's add-on? You can also export/copy your old calibre library

On Alfs site this the SHA-1, the certutil should produce the same value. It's a unique value that the file computes to , it allows you to check the download is correct

Thank you. That makes more sense. debitcardmayhem said:OH btw have you still got the original download for alf's add-on? You can also export/copy your old calibre library
I've got the kindle version you linked to, calibre 4.23 and the 6.8.1 plug in but it's not working with the KFZ. Any more suggestions? I already tried with the later versions of calibre and the newer plug in but didn't get anywhere with that either.
