No WiFi - will Smart TV still function?

Options
Morning All. I need to buy a new TV for my Dad (he’s 82). Of course all the TVs these days are Smart. But he doesn’t have WiFi. So my question is will a Smart TV work from a normal aerial and without WiFi? Thank you.

  • Yes, but of course there will be no "smart" functions available

  • Look for a basic digital TV, no Freesat satellite tuner either, they are available.

SMART functions need an internet connection.
