Wind Turbine on property - Export agreement - go direct to Ofgem or use a third party

Hi,
I wonder if anyone here has any advice they could offer. We recently purchased a house with a wind turbine and are looking to have the export payment (ROC payment) transferred into our name. We have made contact with the Northern Ireland Energy generation team through Power NI who the previous owners has an agreement with to ensure issue of all payments etc. I made contact with NIEG today and they have sent us out information of how to have the agreements put into our name.
I see that they then deal directly with Ofgem who purchases the electricity from our turbine. I am wondering if it is possible to deal with Ofgem directly or whether we have to use a third party to do this? The paper work they sent through includes signing a contract for NIE to work on our behalf to manage the agreements etc and I am wondering if there are other possibilities of how to manage this? I have no knowledge of this area and I am just starting with research now, it would be great to hear from anyone else who has navigated this type of scenario and to hear of what other options there might be. I don't want to sign us into a contract and agreement before we understand the whole picture of what may be possible to ensure we are maximising the income from our turbine.
Thanks!!
