Some urls do not open in Edge.

I primarily use Edge as a browser.  I have noticed that on some sites urls will not open when left clicked in the usual manner.   Also, it appears that messages sent  via websites "contact us forms"  are not actually sent in Edge.......   I only found this out when querying a lack of replies from a reliable website....they had not received any message from me although Edge claimed to have sent one.  The urls will however open if right clicked and "open in new tab " is selected.    The same urls  do open when left clicked in Chrome.  So is there a setting I need to alter in Edge to get both browsers to respond in the same manner ?

I hope that I have explained this so that someone with more tech knowhow than me can understand my problem

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. But for example I cannot open links in Edge on www.lakeland.co.uk  ( to view details of a product I am interested in) but I can open the same link on the same site in Chrome.  :)

Yes, this is what I am currently doing.... But I do like Edge for day to day browsing and would prefer to just use one browser.

Ok now you mention a specific site, but you say links do you mean say google search links? A screen shot of the links you are trying before clicking may help or are they email links ?
Edit what happens if you type in www.lakeland.co.uk in the address bar?

Well I just went to lakeland.co.uk, picked something at random and its all working absolutely fine.  Which suggests you have an issue with your Edge installation.

Which flavour of Edge do you have?  Have a look at
https://www.graphicdesignforum.com/t/how-do-you-like-the-new-microsoft-edge-logo/10648 - it'll probably be one of the bottom two, hopefully the bottom right.

Few ways to reset Edge here:

With regards so "Also, it appears that messages sent  via websites "contact us forms"  are not actually sent in Edge" - well they aren't sent in any browser, they're actually handled by the server.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.  I also assumed that it was a problem with my Edge installation, but did not know where to look.    Problem now solved using your isunshare link and all working properly.  Thanks again.

Thanks for your reply.  I could open the lakeland site but not examine any products.  All now fixed and running properly.
