Online access to Sainsburys bank not working

Hi,

I've been trying to make online payments with my Sainsburys Credit card and the OTP takes so long to arrive that the web site I am buying from times out.

I have the same problem trying to log onto online baking

I have tried phoning them but after 30 minutes of waiting I have given up

are others experiencing this problem or is it just me?

    Hi Tim,

I've just logged into my Sainsburys credit card, got the OTP within a minute and logged on fine.  So working here normally!

Seems an unlikely explanation.  Using an alternative card instead and the code comes through immediately.

Unfortunately, I sometimes need to use the Sainsburys card to get the S75 protection.  My other CC doesn't have a sufficient limit and you get no protection with a Debit Card.

You do get Chargeback protection with a debit card.  Also worth noting, you don't need to put the full amount on credit card to be covered by S75 - paying only 1p on credit card and paying the balance by another method will still give you cover (subject to the standard restrictions on the value of the goods).  I realise doing such a "split payment" may not always be practical, but it may be of some help to you.
