Regarding the gap letting the draught in, I can see they must have cocked up the install because on closer inspection I can see there is a foam/felt strip along the frame, and when the door is closed the last slat is pushed backwards to create a seal, but the whole thing is an inch too far forward so it doesn't form a seal.

Well done for sorting the main issue.
Can't say I fully follow the second problem - the remaining gap betwixt the 'last slat' and the frame - but from what you say, this must surely either be 'normal' (which it doesn't appear to be) or an 'incorrect installation'.
I'd take some close-up photos to show the issue clearly, and email them to the door manufacturer. Ask their opinion. Armed with their answer, you either DIY a solution (and dis' the door on review sites) or else insist the installer sorts it.
  • Yeah, it's very very hard to photograph in a meaningful way, probably MS paint diagram required.

I tried to leave a google review a couple of weeks ago but google pretended to post it but it's not visible when I'm logged out, which is very infuriating.
