Which Dehumidifier for drying clothes and general use?

I was thinking of buying a dryer for the utility room, given that we have 2 young children and a lot of laundry. Then I read around the forum and it seems that a heated clothes-horse or dehumidifier would be a better option. A dehumidifier could also be used around the house when there's no laundry to dry, so I would like to buy one.
The price is not a problem, however, I'm not sure which model would be best for the use I have in mind. Do you have any suggestions?
TIA

I bought a litre version on Amazon recently that does the trick, it was called pro-breeze1

We purchased one from an online retailer great price and range Meaco Low Energy Dehumidifier.
No more condensation in the house from laundry drying on the radiators now, it has two power settings and can be set up to power down at set humidity.
Emptying is a breeze but can be a little loud on the high power, we would not be without it now.
