Denplan Not covering Root Canal Replacement

Back last year my dentist said that my Root Canal with crown needed to be replaced
However they said that to do the work properly they said it would not be covered under my Denplan and wanted £745 to do the work
I wasnt happy with this as i felt that as i was paying into the plan that this, what i would say is reasonable work, should be covered.
I called Denplan and they said it would be up to my Dentist whether the work will be covered.
I need to go back to the dentist and get a 2nd opinion some how (im not sure how i can get a 2nd opinion at my own dental practice) but i do know that the Dentist im allocated to will change next visit.
It seems if its not covered by Denplan, there is no point in me having Denplan as its not cheap to say the least.
Any thoughts or approaches welcome.

As no one on here has the full terms and conditions of your particular Denplan cover the only suggestion is for you to check those terms and conditions and ask your dentist why the costs are excluded.3

Following as I feel like denplan used to be useful, but my prices are increasing and I’m wondering if I should switch to another option.1

what you think is reasonable and should be covered is irrelevant, it is what you agreed in the T+C that is relevant. What do they say on there?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
