Hermes Lost Parcel

Quick question that im hoping someone knows the answer to as the majority of assistance I find with these disputes is from a buyers point of view.
Back Story:
I sold a pair of Roof bars on ebay over christmas. The buyer wanted them asap so asked I post within 1 day as per the listings offer even though it was 24th December 2021. (I tend not to like sending items during this period for exactly this reason)
The consignment was for two boxes, one with all the brackets etc & one with the bars themselves only. Both deliveries were purchased at the same time on the hermes site & both had an extra cover upto £90 placed upon each of them (Sale price was £125 including postage) with both parcels aimed at the same address and dropped off at the same parcel shop on the same day. I should also add that the bars box is 120cm long (Bars are 118cm), matching their shipping limit.
The box with all of the brackets etc turned up in good time, with a photo as proof etc.
The box with the bars in on the same day (December 30th) became "Delayed & will be despatched next working day" and has sat in that state since.
End of story....
Naturally, there is no phone numbers to contact anyone at Hermes and the completely useless Bot merely states what the tracking window already says.
It is at this point I am considering claiming for the £90 lost/damaged parcel fee.
Today ive sent a letter off to Hermes via recorded delivery asking that they investigate the missing parcel & send me a copy of the claims form if they cannot find it/remedy the issue. I have asked that they do this within 5 working days of receipt of the letter.
If they do not reply in a suitable manner to this request and I have to start looking into the small claims court, I want to claim the most possible back naturally. As part of this I intend to claim for:
Missing parcel insurance - £90.00 (They asked what the item was worth)
Original shipping fee inc insurance costs - £8.10 (As the service was not completed, surely the contract was not upheld by their end ? and at minimum it should be the £8.10 minus the extra premium for cover so £5.60)
Recorded mailing costs - £2.38 (Normally wouldnt bother with this but since Hermes give no other choice than to send letters, then I believe they should reimburse this)
Court Fees - £35.00 (Standard fees)
-------------------------
£132.98
Does that seem reasonable ? & if so, how long do I have to wait before launching a small claims? I dont want them to be able to claim its to soon to write off the parcel.
Cheers

Thanks
But none of those options lead to anywhere you can speak to anyone. The only information you can get out of them is the current status of tracking.

if it were me I would wait a reasonable time - go the extra mile - show the court i had tried everything
Say 4 weeks ?0 -
I had a Hermes parcel vanish but I'd bought through Parcel2go and used them to pursue it, from memory it was a long process with the underlying emphasis being on me giving up. Did you buy directly from hermes or through someone else?

Directly through Hermes unfortunately (Although they do state that P2G handles all the payments)
cx6, 4 weeks would sound about right for me to say ive waited the maximum length thats reasonable. I would imagine the ebay buyer will be cheesed off & want a refund by then, which is going to be awkward as he has half the package, missing only the bars themselves.
Not alot I can do about that scenario though

Pay for your buyer to return what they have and refund them.Gynx said:Directly through Hermes unfortunately (Although they do state that P2G handles all the payments)

You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0
