How long do you have to accept an offer of PPI payment?

I submitted a successful PPI claim in August 2019. HSBC wrote to me in October 2019 stating that I was owed money based on a loan I had taken out with PPI, I duly sent off my bank details but because the bank details I gave them were in my married name and with a new home address they subsequently wrote back and requested I go into the branch with proof of ID,marriage certificate and address etc. Which was fine, however there was not a branch particularly local to me and I was in the middle of a stressful house move so it I went down the to do list, then covid lockdowns happened and for one reason and another it slipped my mind until recently and am now kicking myself. Have I left it too late to get my money from them? Many thanks
