Just to add to the frustrations of trying to buy in Portsmouth. We are also FTB's

Me and my partner have been looking for around a year and have come to the realisation we will have to move further a field or compromise a huge amount. Prices are sky high at the moment. Luckily we have some flexibility with working from home.

    Good luck!

I’m from Portsmouth although no longer live there. The ‘wider Portsmouth area’ covers a large space. Are you targeting specific parts? Given Portsea Island is one of Europe's most densely populated cities we are talking an awful lot of houses. Are you maybe suffering from casting your net too wide? Would an agent be more likely to call you first if you could be specific about a much smaller area or even selected streets?
  • The market will go off the boil at some point - too many people waited/ held off for Brexit armageddon which never happened and then buyers all piled in at the same time.
