Utility point refund

Not me yet. My final bill, which covered up to late November, was issued just after Christmas.
In the normal transfer process, which EDF/UP seem to be using to make the SoLR handover happen, the "guaranteed standard" relating to a credit balance from a final bill is 10 working days:
https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/information-consumers/energy-advice-households/switching-energy-tariff-or-supplier#tab-570
In my case that would give them until late next week.
I don't think the Ofgem standards officially apply in this kind of case, but I certainly wouldn't expect the process to be much faster - hopefully not much slower though.
Would be good to hear (as you asked) if any else has had their refund - either onto their EDF account or directly.1 -
I received my final bill showing a credit of £125.00. It did say the amount will be credit to my EDF account about one week later. The bill was dated 20 December. Still waiting!1

When Utility Point went under in September I had £220 credit. Final statement received end of December, with charges up to early November now shows that I owe £150ish.
When I looked closer the standing charge and usage rate was shown as increasing for those last 2 months, but I was on a fixed deal. Needless to say I'm disputing the final bill.
So far the switch to EDF has seen bills increase by about 60%, not a great situation all round 🙁0 -

You have been on EDFs more expensive tariff since September 19th just like everyone else (the day they took over your supply)
Utility Point only charged you correctly up to September 18th on your fixed rate tariff so any complaint you make will be rejected0 -

There will be charges at EDF's capped rate from 18 September up to 30 September then at their higher capped rate from 1 October onwards.0 -
Thanks both, makes sense, though a bitter pill to swallow. The kWh rates went through the roof!1
