Hi everyone,
I had a very dream filled night's sleep, some of which are still flitting through my mind. I must have woken half a dozen times and not been very deeply asleep so I feel a bit like a wet rag this morning.
We went to Barnoldswick yesterday and walked along the canal, beautiful but very brisk, it was the first time I had walked any distance since I got tendonitis and it became painful but I don't think there are any lasting effects this morning. We need to get ready to go home, hopefully the journey won't be too bad and we're engrossed in a Val McDermid audiobook so it should go quite quickly.
Hugs to those in need, especially you Nelski, I hope your hands are more cooperative today.
Have a good day.9 -
Morning all, I have woken with a "snow" headache and I have had to take some OTC meds, we are not due any snow today but maybe tomorrow. It's freezing today so I'll put the heating on later when I've finished moving about for the day, can't stand the cold lately.
I didn't get much cleaning done yesterday as we were called away to Dad's on a TV emergency. He had collected a small one from DD's to replace his broken one and failed to set it up. He had tried but he'd got the aerial in the wrong hole in the back. So it's back to the dusting, cleaning and finding homes for things today. I need to wipe out the fridge and tidy the freezer ready for my sm delivery tomorrow. I only sorted the chest freezer on the weekend, can't understand how it gets itself in such a state in so little time !
Right another cuppa then I'll make a start, promise 😁
Take care all, wrap up warm if you're venturing out. Hugs to all today.

Morning, hugs if you need one.
Bright morning, we had an overnight hard frost, the ice is gradually melting on the car. We are going round to the little chapel coffee morning, otherwise I would not be going out.
We have the people from the council coming tomorrow to sort out the toilet and put new flooring down. WE need someone to come and clean the moss off the solar panels as well.
Load of whites in the washer, they will go in the dryer, If I put them out the laundry and I will freeze!!
MInce and tatties for supper, will use the last of the panetonne to make a bread and butter pudding.6 -
@Deleted_User your comment about freezing laundry reminded me of pegging out my boys' terry nappies on the line in winter 🙂2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Good afternoon all. Thanks to nmlc for the new thread, I hope that you start to feel better soon, if possible try to be kind to yourself and ease back a little - even if it means the menfolk moaning about the food, the more you push on, the more likely the fatigue will hang about for longer.
Cold, bright sun and beautiful blue skies here. OH is getting ready for a bicycle ride, we have done a quick SM top up as skipping delivery again this week. It looks likely that we will be postponing our family meet up on 15th and tomorrow's lunch with a few friends is off too.
Snoozer a visit to Barnoldswick was scheduled for our postponed holiday last year, OH has just booked all the sites for April/May expedition, but need to check how near we will be, as one site was fully booked.
I managed to tick off a lot from my to do list yesterday, not doing too well today, now to make a list of urgent/achievable things.
Hugs and spoons as needed, take care everyone. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)8 -
Afternoon all. Took my decorations down yesterday and rationalised them, along with a small quilt thing and a notebook which went into a bag for the CS. At the moment, the second load is in the wm, the first one in the td, and a massaman curry using the leftover beef from Chrsitmas is bubbling on the stove. The fat I cut off it is in another pan rendering for me to save the fat for future roasties. I used the last of the potatoes for the curry along with the usable ones left from this years harvest [oops, last years, forgot it was January], the rest of which I'm hoping to save to plant in March. My goals of decluttering and using up store cupboard stuff is on the way.. I'm going to go in the lean to later and start organising and sorting out stuff there next. I've had the fire on the last two days, it's so cold, but mindful of gas hike prices, I've not been putting on the heating while I'm here. To be honest though, it's six of one and half a dozen of the other as far using the fire goes, because we still pay for wood, but it just seems ot warm better than the central heating [ which is a bit rubbish]. Zoom with architect tonight, to finalise bits and pieces so one more job ticked off.Good to hear your gd is better dp1, long may it last...Hugs and warm fires to anyone feeling a bit meh....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi6
