Hey
Would appreciate any advice from Any Conveyancers or someone who works on development designs/buildings or building sites to deliver new builds.
Would appreciate any advice from Any Conveyancers or someone who works on development designs/buildings or building sites to deliver new builds.
We are currently reviewing our development plan which we’ve managed to retrieve from the council site & over our plot it states it’s build form is “landmark building” on the key with red star over the plot.
Our new build is just apart of a newly built residential area. Just to confirm it isn’t in any key areas.
Any insight of what this means? It’s all build Jargon to us!

It's not a term of art I've encountered, so I doubt it means anything material from your point of view. I'd guess it just means it's some sort of significant or focal part in the design of the development. If you point us towards the details of the development we might have a better idea.1

Key Note Buildings or Focal Buildings are either prominent corner turning dwellings or plots that sit directly at the end of a road junction and therefore terminate the view. These houses usually then have additional elevational treatments (render, weatherboarding, etc) to make them stand out.1

I really appreciate this response! Makes more sense now. You’re correct in saying it’s at a turning on the road as it’s a corner plot on a main road within the development.
In terms of those possible aspects being elevated I guess this is only positive for us?
I am hoping we won’t be in anyway negative impacted by being on a landmark plot? Or affect us selling the plot in the future in a negative manner.
Sounds like It’s just all about it being positioned at a prominent/focal point on the development

It stand out. Unless it’s smaller cosmetic changes which can’t be seen by the common eye.0
