Fire door advice please

We have planning permission for an extension and alterations to our house. We plan on putting in a door between the garage (not used for parking a car in) and the house. Building regs specify this should be E30S rated.
This confuses me as I'm finding info suggesting that E is a European regulation whereas UK regs are FD. On Google I've found a reference to E30Sa as being a 30 fire and smoke resistant door. Is this the same as FD30S? We are looking at Howden's doors to match others in the same area, I can find FD30 rated door we want to use, but nothing specifically saying FD30S. Does it become S compliant with the use of a doorset including Intumescant strips? If not what can I do?

You are indeed looking for a FD30 with intumescent seals. You also want a self-closing mechanism for it because it is an internal garage.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
