I was married briefly for 3 months then we split up and filed for divorce later.
We never bought anything together, no joint assets, houses or accounts etc. However i owned my own house. Can she claim against me for finances or any of my assets?
I never supported her in anyway as she has always worked and do have I...

She can try. But why would she? Do you have any reason to believe that would happen?
Anyone can claim anything against anyone. But it's proving the thing they claim that can get tricky.
If you have any worries or something's happened, you could always contact Citizens Advice but otherwise, I'd not worry.
I'm sorry things didn't work out for the two of you. Sometimes that happens though, my niece was with her ex-husband for 8 years, they got married (really big, posh, expensive wedding) and eight months later they split up. They had a house together but just split everything 50/50 and went their separate ways.
Good luck for the future and a happy new year, too. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Presumably you knew your ex prior to getting married and possibly co habited. The extent of your relationship wasn't just 3 months. Have you discussed financial matters at all?0

No we didn't live together before marriage we was just dating then.
Shes threatened me with making claims against my house. Its all I own so bit worried.
She turned out to be a nasty piece of work after marriage so I ended it quick.0 -
she could make a claim but it’s unlikely that she would succeed- a court has to try to make an order which is fair to you both, taking into account all the circumstances- if it’s a short, childless marriage, then the starting point is normally that you each take out what you put in, although if she gave up secure accommodation such as a council property then that’s also relevant, as are your respective needs.
talk to a solicitor- but it may be that offering her a small amount, enough to cover deposit and first month rent, for instance, might be appropriate. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
She lived with her parents before she moved in with me and has always done so. She then returned back to her parents home. She's always worked before and during marriage and we had no kids.
I don't think I owe her nothing, not even a sandwich.0 -

Who filed for divorce, you or her? Have either of you appointed a solicitor? What kind of divorce are you aiming for?0 -

When was it granted, last July? If it was granted in July last year there is no way you would not have received it by now so I would query that with the solicitor as a matter of urgency.
I am certain, based on the information above, that she is not entitled to anything, however your solicitor will be able to confirm.0 -

The paperwork from courts seem to be extremely slow at the moment. I had an emergency non molestation hearing in early September, did not get the documents until late December!0
