British Gas meter driving me mad. Top up not registering

5 weeks ago we moved into a house that had prepayment smart meters for both gas & electric. British gas is the supplier and after a bit of hassle I managed to get the account registered in my name. But it's driving me mad.
I always top up online, and immediately BG email me a thank you and receipt for the top up, but it doesn't always appear on my display. Right now my meter display says I have £3.34 credit on my gas, but I topped it up this morning over 4 hours ago and the top up still hasn't registered. So i'm sitting here wondering if my heating and hot water are going off soon despite the top up i made.
I tried using the BG site chat facility but it just cuts me off, I tried calling but no answer after plus 30 minutes wait. I've even Tweeted BG help but so far they have ignored that too.
Can anyone suggest where I can get some help?
btw I'm registered disabled and BG know that but it doesn't seen to help me getting help from them.

I saw on the App there are issues at the moment topping up. If the credit is not showing on your meter, you can get the numbers from your receipt to input directly onto the meter.
