Pressure pad on laptop not working and ideas how to restore it to work?

I have connected a mouse for now.

Laptop is aspire 3 about 18 months old, in good condition, I am the only one who used it.

However Cat2 did stand on the pressure pad early this morning, I turn off / on the laptop and it worked, but sadly it has stopped

Sounds like the touchpad may have been inadvertently disabled. Try this -

Method 1: Re-enable your touchpad

Your laptop touchpad may have been accidentally disabled. You need to re-enable your touchpad to be able to use it.

To re-enable your touchpad:

On your laptop keyboard, press the Fn key and the F6 or F7 key (the function key with a touchpad icon on it) at the same time.

Sounds like a harware fault and is unlikely to be easy to repair unless your are fairly technical. Might be worth trying a local repair company.. could be an easy fix.

Hi,

if no easy fix, then just continue with mouse, though maybe better to keep Cat2 and whatever other cat number names you have.away from it.

I'd a friend who had a black Labrador and just called 'black dog'.

Maybe Cat2 is a tech wizzcat and disabled it so you'd give it more attention.
