I received an email on 22nd Dec from them . ( Application @mygms.email )
'Subject AC ( ny name ) Start saving money this minute ..
Hi AC 👋 Hope all is well etc
Basically it's supposed to be a complimentary app to big discounts for over 120 brands .
The email goes onto say that the GMS exists for one reason -to give those on benefits a better life .
I have no idea how I got this email from Donna Cooper Team Leader , but I just wanted to find out if it's a scam .
I'll probably put into junk , unless iit does indeed have a benefit for me to use .
Thanks in advance

This is the welfare benefits section of the forum. A quick google gave me this. https://suite.endole.co.uk/insight/company/11061701-grant-me-savings-limited

Thanks @poppy12345
i posted on here as they mentioned benefits in the email. A bit puzzled how I got chosen
I'll put the email into the junk folder .0 -
Their website mentions that only people on benefits are eligible. Their parent company is RewardMe which appears to have a couple of branches into health rewards and employee perk schemes as far as I can make out (only did a cursory search).
The benefits one does sound a bit too good to be true though; I haven't been able to find anything that says about how they make their money. On sites like TopCashback that are genuinely free, they do tell you how they make their money.

Thanks @Spoonie_Turtle
I was wondering how I got targeted. I started doing surveys for the first time last year.
I only used one company. Something tells me it was that that put me on the radar.
could be wrong .Very odd..0 -
There's a lack of info out there including reviews and on their website. I am curious as to how they verify (as they say they will) your receipt of benefits with the DWP as I would have assumed that data would be restricted well beyond marketing type firms.
I would avoid purely on the basis there is so little verified info about them pus they request quite personal data including evidence of benefits. It seems a little odd to me rewards or money off type stuff would be available with the companies they list on website for people solely on benefits and I ponder if they're targeting more vulnerable groups... not necessarily in terms of scam but in terms of making their own money."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack1 -
Thanks@muttleythefrog
I decided to unsubscribe by hitting the link at the bottom of the email.
They didn't like that . Asking / begging me not to go and about half a dozen reasons to tick and only being allowed one tick only .I ticked the box " I don't remember subscribing to Grant me savings "
Best avoided by the look of it ..0 -
Don't unsubscribe, simply ignore. They now have a confirmed live email address to pester/ sell on.
