Yesterday: chicken nuggets, fries, sausages from freezer. Dds are not keen on these nuggets, but manfully ate them with promises of buying their preferred brand (Aldi
) again next week.
Today: hm chicken soup with all sorts of sad veggies and ground chicken balls I rolled and froze about 6 months ago. The stock was from bio cubes I bought in a sale about 2 years ago.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.592 -
@RHemmings, there's always pea soup - though the risotto looks good.
I'm eating my way through frozen cauliflower and I've finished a small bag of broccoli, a part-pack of salmon and a pasta sauce today.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

If I had a lot of frozen cauliflower, I would try that thing people do where they deep-fry it with southern fried coating on it. Or make bhaji. Though, I understand that not everyone likes deep fried food.2 -

I have some 'southern fried coating' at the moment, but not enough suitable vegetables for it. Hmmm.... I have some fake chicken from Iceland .... maybe I won't use all of it.
Bhajis are something I have made, and they are a great way of using up many different types of fresh vegetables. I used to have a copy of Lord Sri Krishna's Cuisine: Art of Indian Vegetarian Cooking (AKA the Hare Krishna cookbook) but unfortunately I don't now. I must find a way of getting that recipe back.2 -

Not been feeling too good for the past few days so only just got around to making Bolognese today. I also did a fridge and freezer sort out as I have an online shop being delivered later ( no car) amazing how quickly my freezer is filling up 😬
Got out a few bits, so tonight will be spaghetti Bolognese, with some freezer garlic bread and some salad bits. Got out some pasta sauce that was talking up space, I'll use that for lunch tomorrow. Also some dough which will be cooked up tomorrow too make a snack for the kids.
Put on some washing as well.
Still feeling very rough but I've been doing all these things between naps! At least we'll eat well tonight. That'll make me feel better xGrocery challenge:

The only recipe I regularly made from it was the bhaji. That in itself is worth the price of admission. I was thinking that I would go for a kindle version, and I probably will. Thanks.
