Good Morning All,

The keeper just wants to confirm/ ask questions on a few things after reading throughly around on the forum regarding gateway house, as the idea that they are sending fines of £60 when they are not enduring a loss of this amount is ludicrous.

1. The keeper has used the newbie thread template in blue, which they expect will be rejected - do they need to send a SAR on top of this ? 

2. Upon reviewing the area they have now created a situation outside of the “no stopping zone” as the road has recently been changed there is no signage to say it is now a dead end, there is no choice but to turn into gateway house just to turn around as the road (Ducie Street) is no longer one you can drive through.To actually see the sign posts you have to either get out of the car or stop as they are aren’t at eye level and the ones that are say entrance - deceptive - images added 

3. The keeper plans to write to the Manchester City centre MP because they believe these factors are going to contribute to an increase in fines from UKCPS

4. Is it worth the keeper sending an email to the landowner too? 

5. The keeper needs to now ignore further letters regarding any “fines” until they receive an official court letter (6 years)? 

Any help would be appreciated just want to ensure nothing was missed

City roads like this with no double red lines or massive warnings and barriers should never be 'no stopping' entrapment zones.

You are right with all you said.

Try to get this place in the local paper and please ask your MP to urgently show your evidence of this scam site to Neil O'Brien at the DLUHC, the Minister who the BPA recently told the world in their publication 'Parking News' is responsible for the imminent statutory Code of Practice.

If thd Government don't watch out they are going to see £100 'no stopping' traps like this in every town and city this year because it's lucrative and gets around the need for a consideration period to read signage before deciding whether to stay or go.

These are the new clamping scams without a clamp. No different.

I don't think any have gone to court yet , but you never know

Follow the advice above , bearing in mind that the first point of contact is your own local MP , not anyone else , parliamentary rules dictate that you do so , so don't contact the MP for the Piccadilly area , or Ardwick or whichever MP it is , contact yours and ask them to pass it on to the target MP plus the dhulg , namely Neil O'Brian

The no loss argument died a death in the Beavis case 6 years ago , so stick to relevant facts only

1) no need for a SAR until the LBC stage , if it happens , within 6 years

2) yes we know , there are numerous previous threads about this site on here , please read them

3) it's your own MP first , and they are invoices , definitely not fines !

4) yes

5) nope , do not ignore a formal LBC , plus do not ignore a Court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton either ( within 6 years ) , do ignore the debt collector letters though

Thankyou for your help after writing to the local MP of Manchester the PCN has been cancelled as a “gesture of goodwill” lol. As they had 10 seconds of imagery available I think they didn’t want the extra aggravation of the whole thing

Could you advise the name of the MP concerned as I am preparing to contact my own MP and it would be handy to point them in the direction of this person.
