My deal expires on Feb  currently paying 45 pound a month....I've been offered flex deal for same monthly payment...or 2 year fixed deal of 85 pound a month....because its  flex that could go up anytime... when the new wholesale prices come....do I gamble....I use between  8/9 kw hours per day

    Really, it's your choice.
    • Drop onto the flexible tariff, enjoy the cheapest prices until April and then hope that the energy market is "normal" and there's a cheap fix available, or have the capped rates rise by 50-60%; or
    • Take the fix, pay almost 2x the currelt capped tariff but know you won't be paying any more than that for winter 22-23 and 23-24.
Either way it's a gamble. I've chosen the flexible option but am prepared to be proven wrong in October 2022.

Would be useful if you post SC/kwh 2 year fixed rates that they are offering so we can see if same as sky high rates they are offering for new quotes, current tariff list shows no mention of cheaper existing customer 2 year fixed rates being offered at this time.

No new year   existing fixed rates  ...I'm going to hang on to the cheaper existing rate   as long as I can
