Will carpet + brushed steel handrail mean static

Options
Just had a new carpet fitted to the stairs and need to fit a handrail, will a brushed stainless steel one give us a static shock every time we go upstairs?  Random question I know…

if no, what if we are in trainers, or socks? Just don’t want to order one and fit it only to be scared to touch the damn thing!

  • Is the carpet synthetic or a wool / natural fibre? Polypropylene is supposed to be low static.

    Hi Rosa, the carpet name from carpet right is: MILAN 4M 97 SLATE SE

    can’t find it on their website as it was 2/3 years ago when it was ordered. I think it’s polypropylene looking at similar carpets they stock
