Some help needed please.
On the 28th December we used the online DVLA service to apply a private plate to one of our cars. The car tax was also due at the end of Dec.
We are now unable to tax the vehicle online with the V11 reference number not being recognised and likewise for the V5. As far as we can tell there is no way for us to tax the car, and are assuming this will be the case until a new V5 logbook or V11 is issued.
DVLA are closed and have been throughout us trying to contact them and pay for new tax.
Are we now likely to get a fine for not taxing the vehicle?.
It’s all very frustrating especially since we have been trying to tax it since the 31st Dec but being unable to.

Anyone have any suggestions as DVLA don’t reopen until tomorrow and we ideally need to get it taxed for use later today.
We honestly had no idea that applying the private plate would cause so many issues.
Thank you in advance.
Mike.

I can only suggest trying to contact tonorrow.
Ideally, too late now, but help others in future is tax it first, then assign the private plate, especially if you know the tax is due soon.0
