Tested positive, PCR test will be more likley again positive, it's a dilema.

An LFD is a rapid test where the device itself checks the result, and is therefore in general recommended for the pre-departure test due to both cost and in the case of recent recovery from Covid its sensitivity.

Most pharmacies will be able to do an LFD on site for around €25 (from experience in France, Western Europe doesn't really interest me at all).

I’m currently in Tenerife, tests here are around 35euros but need to be booked in advance and there are some huge queues outside the pharmacies.

There are some companies that will sell you the tests to take with you. You then upload a photo of your results cartridge and they email you a certificate. In some cases you can do it under video supervision. You can also source a test locally and have a certificate for travel issued via email. 
Depending where you are it can be cheaper to take with you or to source locally. There is also the logistic ease of the whole process. Plus the risks if you test positive and have taken the test locally or not.
