okay so not as dire as I thought.  I think we've just been buying furniture and take aways since I used to batch cook once a month but I've been pretty much constantly ill since we've moved.  We've already pulled back on the take aways as I don't really enjoy them and .  We still need money for a new fence and a few other bits for the garden and to pay for my degree next year but I don't see how I can't at least put another £600 down a month now that the house is a bit more sorted and Xmas is over with. I think I can cut a few things. I have a Kindle and audible subscription I just cut so that should help with the pennies. We're quite lucky now we have a house as we were paying a LOT to rent before we moved.

It seems a reasonable SOA overall. But out of interest how come a childcare cost if only one of you is working?

I was originally going to study part time and just study during the evenings, but my husband said that since we had extra money I could study full time if I wanted since we could afford to put the youngest in nursery for a few days.  So I'm studying full time this year. It's ideal for me and I think he's thinking more long term like if I find work sooner then my earning potential will outstrip the nursery fees we paid, if that makes sense. Especially cause one of his bosses said he'd be interested in hiring me if I did certain qualifications too.
