Good evening,

have used sites like unbiased, but with very limited hits or lack of responses. Are there any other ways of finding a well reviewed independent insurance broker? Have a few fundamental questions regarding certain insurances.

Thanks

The term independent isn't used in insurance anymore.  Only investment class has that word as a protected phrase now.

unbiased used to be an IFA directory.   However, it is now a lead generation site mostly for salesforces who are not independent.

Part of the problem is that nowadays, it is hard to be a jack of all trades.  You effectively end up with a master of none.     So, it is increasingly common to find that IFAs focus on investment class business, mortgage brokers on mortgages and insurance brokers on insurance.    Some firms may have people in the different areas but many do not.

Have a few fundamental questions regarding certain insurances.
What types of insurances?   (as the types that deal with certain General Insurance policies are likely to be different to the types that deal with life assurance or protection policies).

If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

In which case, you are looking at either a local IFA or whole of market protection adviser.    Google maybe your best bet (it is in our area as none of the local "independent" IFAs (as in not a saleforce or network) use any of the lead generation sites (e.g. unbiased, trustpilot or vouchedfor) as they don't need to.
